Our teachers are well-educated in Montessori philosophy and excel in working with children ages two and a half to twelve.  Our Montessori teachers all have earned credentials from internationally recognized Montessori Training Programs.  In each classroom the teacher is accompanied by a trained assistant.  Teachers are always aware of the needs of your child.  The result is a classroom climate of extraordinary individual freedom, but also with direction and support.  The intimacy of our small school's setting magnifies the quality and number of opportunities to benefit our students.  We pride ourselves on the school's cohesive sense of community, friendliness, and broad humanity.

Our classrooms are "prepared environments" designed to allow each child to develop in an optimum atmosphere at his/her own rate.  Hands-on materials include tools, child-size furniture, and planned exercises.  Children find the Montessori materials inviting and exciting, filled with opportunities for discovery.  All our classrooms have children of mixed ages.  We follow a regular school calendar.  Extended care is available before and after school for all students.  In addition, the Montessori Learning Center offers a series of "camps" during the summer months.  This includes academic programs as well as special sessions selected in consultation with parents and teachers.
