Sneak Peak of MLC New Site Aug. 8, 2008 @ 6:30pm

MLC is holding a sneak peak of our new facilities at 20 San Joaquin St., Salinas. Its still under construction so don’t bring your kids -- its not safe. Hard hats all around. From the letter’s pics, its mostly framework and lots of wood and dust around but anyone who’s been around construction will appreciate the progress and can visualize the final product.
I’ll be there and will try to take lots of pics for everyone who cannot make it. To everyone else, see ya!!

Its done. The MLC primary, elementary and middle school are all moving to the new location on San Miguel Street, The former Salinas Athletic Club building.
The architectural plans are on display in our current lobby on Main St. and a parents meeting is planned over the summer. Kudos to everyone for closing the deal.

School Location for 2008-09 SY

As of today, we are still waiting for news on school location for next year. Last we heard, the school is still under negotiations with a location somewhere in south salinas to remain unnamed until the sale is finalized.
To paraphrase from December 2007 newsletter...
“Good news! We have identified a location for the school and we are finalizing negotiations...”
So stay tuned.

Upper School Location Update

So its done. Our new temporary home is up and the building looks great. The teachers are excited and the children are happy to be back.
This morning the fire marshall conducted a mandatory fire drill at 8:00am.
The place is bright, clean with a comfortable feel. No paint smell, fun decor. Good for learning? Thoughts?
